10 June: Nora Krouk invites you to the presentation of her new poetic collection Warming the Core of Things, which will take place 3 July in Sydney Writer Centre.
Nora Krouk was born 90 years ago in Harbin, China. She worked as a journalist in Shanghai and Hong Kong. She has written Russian poetry since childhood, switching to English while living in Hong Kong, where a collection of her poetry, Even Though, was published. Her own Russian poetry has been published in various Shanghai magazines, New York's New Review and Israel's Yegund Yotseisin, as well as in the anthology Russian Poetry in China, published in Moscow in 2000 (winner of Russian Booker). In 1993 she won the Fellowship of Australian Writers' Jean Stone Award, and in 2000 she shared the award in the Society of Women Writers Poetry Competition. She won first prize for poetry in the 2008 Antipodes Russian Literary Festival.

4 September: Antipodes Association invites you to submit works on number — we wait for your short stories, poems, musical pieces, and other works, created on the strict basis of the number .
19 August: A friend of Antipodes Association, Jardin Galerie (children art school and gallery) invites children from 4 to 14 years old to participate in their next project: Trees, drawn from nature. All received works will be shown in virtual exhibition on gallery’s web-site in October-November, and the best works will be chosen for a real exhibition in New York in November-December.
6 August: Unique 12th number of journal «Сardinal Points» is published in English.
4 August: The journal «KLYAP» announces II international contest of short stories «Stoslovie-2010».
30 June: Antipodes Association invites you to our July poetry evening. Our special guest will be Vladimir Aristov (Moscow). Vladimir Aristov is a poet, writer and essayist. He is an author of seven collections of poetry, a novel, and numerous articles about 20th century poetry. The English speaking audience will be provided with booklets of Aristov's poems bilingua. The evening starts at 4pm, Sunday, July 18th.
23 May: Antipodes Association invites you to participate in Tango-Happening — spontaneous, improvisational, plotless poetic action without words, with participation of Fedor Sofronov (Moscow) and Tatiana Bonch-Osmolovskaya (Sydney) but not controlled by them.
11 May: Antipodes Association warmly greets you on the 70th anniversary of birth of Joseph Brodsky and organize a Fourth Poetry Night on this occasion: «Aloof, provincial, by the seashore».
As usual for our Poetry Nights, we invite everybody to read their favorite poems by the poet and the poets close to Brodsky. We will share our opinions on Brodsky's poetry, and see some archive materials of the author's reading and memoirs about the poet.
The evening will start at 8 pm, Saturday, 22 May, in the cafe on the first floor of Berkelouw Books (19 Oxford St, Paddington).
5 May: Antipodes Association is happy to invite you to the presentation of a book — the collection of works of the Second Australian Festival of Russian Traditional and Experimental Literature.
Book's presentation will take place on May 15, Saturday, at 1 pm, in Bowen Library (Auditorium on level 1, 669-673 Anzac Pde, cnr. Gale Rd & Anzac Pde, Maroubra Junction).
2 May: Almanac of texts of Second Australian Festival of Russian Traditional and Experimental Literature is published. You could order book via email of the Association.

18 April: Antipodes Association and School of Languages and Cultures, University of Sydney, invites you to an evening of contemporary Russian video poetry. You will see the best video poetry works of different styles made by Alexandr Gornon, Maria Galina, Elena Katsyuba, and others. The auditory will be provided with booklets of all transcriptions of the poems and their word-for-word translations into English.
The evening will take place on 12 of May, 5:30pm.

16 April: All texts received for super-short text contest MICRONOVEL are published in Livejournal blog of the Association (in Russian).
9 March: Hemingway once wrote a very short story: «For sale: baby shoes, never worn». And Augusto Monterroso wrote: «When he awoke, the dinosaur was still there». And Alan Moore wrote: «Machine. Unexpectedly, I’d invented a time». And Neil Gaiman wrote: «I’m dead. I’ve missed you. Kiss … ?». And… And what can you tell in just six words? To declare your love? To call for compassion? To make them laugh? To express an eternal truth? Or at least, new philosophical concept? Live is short, so write your own six words!
Antipodes Association announces a super-short text contest MICRONOVEL.
20 February: At the end of last year Tatiana Вonch-Osmolovskaya participated in the of contest of short stories «Stoslovie» with topic «Body of my city». Contest was organised by journal «KLYAP».

3 February: All welcome to Literary Workshop. We will read our own texts and translations, and discuss them with others. Workshop will take place on Sunday, 14th of February, in a private house.
4 January: All welcome to Literary Soiree dedicated to video poetry. We will discuss what the video poetry is and watch few works by Russian authors. Workshop will take place on Sunday, 10th of January, in a private house.
