- Nora Krouk invites you to the presentation of her new poetic collection Warming the Core of Things, which will take place 3 July in Sydney Writer Centre.
Nora Krouk was born 90 years ago in Harbin, China. She worked as a journalist in Shanghai and Hong Kong. She has written Russian poetry since childhood, switching to English while living in Hong Kong, where a collection of her poetry, Even Though, was published. Her own Russian poetry has been published in various Shanghai magazines, New York's New Review and Israel's Yegund Yotseisin, as well as in the anthology Russian Poetry in China, published in Moscow in 2000 (winner of Russian Booker). In 1993 she won the Fellowship of Australian Writers' Jean Stone Award, and in 2000 she shared the award in the Society of Women Writers Poetry Competition. She won first prize for poetry in the 2008 Antipodes Russian Literary Festival.
Date: 3 July, Sunday, 2 pm entry, 2.30 pm reading's start.

He is an author of seven collections of poetry, a novel, and numerous articles about 20th century poetry. The English speaking audience will be provided with booklets of Aristov's poems bilingua. The evening starts at 4pm, Sunday, July 18th.

- Antipodes Association warmly greets you on the 70th anniversary of birth of Joseph Brodsky and organize a Fourth Poetry Night on this occasion: «Aloof, provincial, by the seashore».
As usual for our Poetry Nights, we invite everybody to read their favorite poems by the poet and the poets close to Brodsky. We will share our opinions on Brodsky's poetry, and see some archive materials of the author's reading and memoirs about the poet.
The evening will start at 8 pm, Saturday, 22 May, in the cafe on the first floor of Berkelouw Books (19 Oxford St, Paddington).

- Antipodes Association and School of Languages and Cultures, University of Sydney, invites you to an evening of contemporary Russian video poetry. You will see the best video poetry works of different styles made by Alexandr Gornon, Maria Galina, Elena Katsyuba, and others. The auditory will be provided with booklets of all transcriptions of the poems and their word-for-word translations into English.
The evening will take place on 12 of May, 5:30pm.
